  • Remove Public folders from Domain

    Hello,

I have a single Exchange 2007 server in an 2008R2 domain.
AFAIK, there is no use for the Public Folders, and the only reason they exist is that this Domain used to be an SBS2003.

Is there a documented way on how to remove the Public Folders, or is there a documented reason for why I shouldn't remove them?...

    Thanks guys...

Are you exclusively on Outlook 2007 or higher?
If not, then you need to retain public folders. They are required for Exchange to support Outlook 2003 and older.

No Macs, no Blackberry Servers, nothing else legacy?

Although personally I don't tend to bother with removing public folders. I don't see that they do any harm being left in place.
