  • Updating Exchange

Here's another stupid question, if I may...

How does Exchange get updated? I mean, Windows Update takes care of Windows Server 2008 R2 itself, but does Exchange, too?

Currently, I see I have loaded up Update Rollout 4 for Exchange, and I believe I did that upon installation (can't recall for sure). As far as I know that is the latet, but we all know it won't be for long.

    Thanks!

Use WSUS -- it will pick up Exchange updates as well as OS ones

      Re: Updating Exchange

If you switch to Microsoft Update in the Windows Update window, then it will bring in the rollups automatically. WSUS is another option.

However it does NOT update the service packs, you will have to install those manually.
