  • Can't receive or send external mails.

    Hi,

    This is my first time playing with servers. I m using wmare workstation to create servers. So far i have created a dc+dns+dhcp server and member server where exchange 2007 is installed. The problem is that i cant receive and send external mails. I have created send connector and added rights to anonymous users to receive connector.

    SERVERS DETAILS:

    domain controller:
    Uses vmware workstation nat
    static ip: IP:192.168.150.XXX
    subnet:255.255.255.0
    gateway:192.168.150.2
    domain:XX.local
    DNS:192.168.150.2
    other info: win server 2003 r2 32bit, set static ip, ran dcpromo, installed dhcp.

    Exchange server:
    Uses vmware workstation nat
    static ip:192.168.150.XXX
    subnet:255.255.255.0
    gateway: dc's ip
    DNS: 192.168.150.2
    other info: win server 2003 r2 64bit, installed exchange 2007, did not run any commands such as adprepare, prepareschema.....ect.....

    Dont know if this concerns anything but i noticed that i do not have same columns as other EMCs in send connectors properties>>address space..other EMC has domain and type columns but i have type, address and cost columns. So what could be the problem?

    Re: Can't receive or send external mails.

    is your domain controller configured as a gateway? your exch server is using the dc as it's gateway.

    dc must be running routing for this to work. set your gateway to be the same as the dc's gateway (x.x150.2)
