  • 2007 in bridged net - SenderID

    All,
I am working on migrating to a 2007 environment. Our organization receives all of our mail through a set of bridgehead servers. I am wondering in an orgainization like ours if the senderid option will work properly. The server contacting mine directly will always be a trusted one. Does senderid dig into the header or does it look at the server connecting or some combo of both.

I have done a little searching and am getting mixed results. Any imput would be useful.

We are also looking at using Forefront for exchange for our av and additional spam solution.

Host based solutions, like SenderID are only valuable at the point of entry from the internet. Therefore if Exchange does not receive the email from the internet, no point in enabling it.
