  • Test internal relay of Exchange server 2007

I'd like to know if there is a way to test the relay settings of Exchange 2007 for an internal IP address.

A supplier has asked for specific IPs to be able to anonymously relay email thru our Ex server, but the servers and their applications have not arrived yet, and I want to make sure it is working once I make the changes.

I would also like to be able to test that relaying works when setup for authenticated connections as well.

Can this be done thru Telnet? Thanks.

For unautheticated relay test you can use telnet fine, for authenticated you need a prog which is able to authenticate. Outlook Express should be able to handle this if you don't have any other.
