  • Need Advice (Upgrade now to 2013 OR 2016)

    Dear All,
We are planning to upgrade our exchange 2010 SP3 (Single exchange server), but before that I want to have some inputs from experts, going for 2016 is suitable OR it is good if we go for 2013 as it is reliable and lots of material is available to fix problems if we face during migration, since 2016 is still new and no major CU or SP is released for it. Although it is new but new products also come with lots of bugs, we know that.

How is the market trend, are corporate environments adopting 2016 now OR waiting still. I need some reasonable inputs to convince my dept. head for this.

    Appreciate your help

Exchange 2016 is effectively Exchange 2013 SP2. It isn't the huge leap that there is from Exchange 2010 to 2013.
Saying that, it is too early in its life cycle for wide scale deployment - I have just one site live with 2016. Most new implementations now are cloud based. The way that Microsoft have priced Office365 makes it very difficult to justify the outlay for an on premise implementation.
