  • email address policy doesn't apply as expected

    Hi,

I've just installed a new Exchange 2013 server in my environment. I'm setting up users and email addresses using the "Default Policy" and I did a mistake by inserting and applying a wrong address to my exchange objects. I deleted the entry and applied again the policy, but the "wrong" address still remains in my objects (there is still checked the flag "automatically updated email.... on all my objects". I don't see errors in the event viewer on the Exchange server. What's wrong?

    Thanks
    Max

Nothing is wrong. That is how it is designed to work.
Email address policy does not remove addresses, only adds them.

Furthermore it is not best practise to change the default policy. Leave the default policy alone and create a new one (or multiple policies if you are applying different addresses).

    Simon.
