  • User cannot access OWA after disabling In-Place Archiving

    Strange issue....

    Exchange 2013

One of our users was complaining that old emails were no longer showing up in his inbox. After verifying it was due to the In-Place Archiving being enabled on his mailbox. I logged into his OWA account, manually moved all of the emails back into his Inbox, and disabled Archiving on his mailbox. We are a small organization, and have ample space for very large mailboxes, so Archiving isn't really needed.

Since this has been done, the user is no longer able to access his mailbox via OWA. After he logs in, he gets the "Outlook Web App" splash screen, and the spinning "Almost there.." image. The mailbox never comes up. He is able to access email just fine, using his full Outlook client and smartphone. No other users are having issues.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue are greatly appreciated!
