  • Calendar data retention

    Hi,

We have two users who need to keep their calendar data for atleast 3 years. I don't think there are any retention periods setup but the users are saying that they only have data since last July. Is there a default retention period? How can I check this?

We are on Exchange 2007. Let me know if you require more details.
    Thanks in advance.

    Regards.

    Re: Calendar data retention

Exchange doesn't discard information. I have calendar entries in my own calendar to 1998.
Outlook can discard entries, using the autoarchiving feature. You would have to switch that off.

You may be able to open their archive.pst file in Outlook and review the older items as well providing they have been using the same machine and it hasn't been re-installed.

Thanks guys. I will have a look at the users PC and see the autoarchiving option is on.
