    Re: Send connector problem

exchange message 4.4.7 means the email has tried to send, but has been unable to. It tries to send for a specific amount of time before failing. Usually it means the remote host cannot be contacted for some reason.

Do you get the same problem for ALL emails, or just some?
Do you have a static or dynamic IP Address ?
Do you have a public dns reverse address registered for your public ip address?
Are you using a smarthost ?

Unfortuantely, the feedback you have given, while useful, won't help us diagnose the actual issue.
Please try sending the message again, then watch the Exchange Queues - they will tell you why the message is failing.

Ok - you'll need to go into the Exchange Management Console and view the outbound queues/connectors.
That should actuyally give you some more information on precisely why it's failing to connect.

          Re: Send connector problem

Have you tried to send email manually using telnet to port 25 on a remote server?
It may well be that your ISP doesn't allow port 25 traffic out of their network and you need to configure the Send Connector to use a smart host instead.

              great idea sembee !!
everything is ok until i write "RCPT TO: [email protected]" or any other adress.
i get the message "unable to relay" with the error code : 550 5.7.1
i don't understand ?? is it a DNS problem ?? it seem like it can't resolve the DNS adress ??

Google "SMTP 550" for some clues?

SCL is the Spam Confidence Level - this is the only thing that jumps out at me from that message. I'm not sure if -1 is a good, or bad thing.

                      Re: Send connector problem

uhm, you could manually resend everything in the sent items folder.
anything that is still in the queue will send automatically by itself, as long as it hasn't expired.

I'm pleased it's working, and that you came and told us the resolution
