  • After Mig. Ex2003 to Ex2010 - Excel attachments are blocked for external recipients

Hi all, I've got an issue I cannot seem to solve.

Client was migrated from Ex2003 SP2 to Ex2010 RU3. All went well, all is functioning well.

However, when using OL2003/2007, users that are sending rich-text format e-mails that have Excel files in them, report that internal recipients receive them well, however some external recipients do not get the Excel attachments, and instead, they see a link inside the e-mail. The link doesn't open anything.

Mail is flowing out through a Mail Sweeper version 3_0_0_25567 appliance. Just to make sure it's not the Mail Sweeper that's causing the issue, I've changed the Send Connector to work directly to the Internet, and not through the smart host. I still do not know if this helped or not, but I suspect that it didn't.

EDIT: No, it did not help.

This is what it looks like.

    Any ideas?

    That still looks like interference.
I haven't seen an email appear with the attachment name like that in email before, so something is getting in the way.
