  • How do you Enforce GAL / OABs by using GPOs

Hello, I want to ask if there is a way to enforce Global Address List on Clients Systems by using Group Policy Objects.

I want to push updated Global Address List on client machines when they open the Outlook client software, by enforcing GPOs on their systems.. Thanks

I'm not sure if you can use global policy to make outlook automatically download the global address book

I'm actually thinking it happens automaticaxlly.

also - see if this helps you..

Thanks for your contribution. I think that would be a good solution. Would try it out, by refreshing it manually

The Offline Address book is downloaded by Outlook when it starts automatically. There is nothing else to change.
If you want to change the download interval, then that isn't possible. Automatically Outlook will only download the OAB once every 24 hours or when it is restarted.
