  • Remove exchange role manually

    HI ,

I am in process of upgrading my infrastructure ,

    I have Exchange 2003 organization ,

i installed Exchange 2007 in same organization with following roles

2 HUB/CAS(2 roles on same server) in NLB Mode , 2 MailBox CCR Cluster !

Unfortunately , I have an issue with LAN card & OS issue on one of HUB/CAS server , i need to uninstall my HUB/CAS role from the server to format the server.

When i tried to uninstall , it give me error (unable to connect active directory ) due to lan problem

Is there any way to remove this hub/cas server mannuly !

    Thanks
    Usman

    Re: Remove exchange role manually

There are no manual removal instructions for Exchange 2007.

The only option would be to wipe the machine, then rebuild it with the same name.
Then reinstall Exchange 2007 with the recoverserver switch so that it comes up correctly as the old server. You can then remove it with add/remove programs gracefully.
