  • Exchange 2007 SP1 on Win 2003 or Win 2008?

I have licensing for both and cant decide which OS I want to use. We currently have one Exchange 2003 box sitting on Server 2003. The proposed 2008 Server would be our 1st in the Org.

Anyone care to suggest one or the other and why you would choose for our simple environment?

    Hi ,

I would recommend you to use with w2k8 , You can use with 2k3 too without any issue .

Try to use Microsoft latest products

Server 2003 goes end of mainstream support in a few months so I'd use 2008. Note that 2007 does not yet support being installed on Server 2008 R2.

I would also suggest that you go straight to Exchange 2007 SP2, rather than SP1. Download SP2 from Microsoft and you can install from that.
