  • E2K10, Forefront TMG and Certificates

Newbie type question, and I probably should be able to research it but can't seem to find any links easily

I'm planning on replacing my current "home office" Exchange with 2K10 and, because the sprogs are getting bigger, want to introduce ISA (OK, TMG now) into the loop. I have zero ISA/TMG experience so want to use this as a self learning opportunity

    Current configuration:
E2K7 behind router, SAN certificate on E2K7 box, all working fine.

    Proposed configuration:
E2K10 behind TMG (which has only connection to router). OWA and OutlookAnywhere published by TMG

    Questions:
What names should I have on the certificate?
Where is certificate installed (Exchange or TMG box)?
Any other issues I should be aware of?

If it is felt this is more a Forefront question, please move to Security forum but as the issues are Exchange related, I thought this was the best location

Re: E2K10, Forefront TMG and Certificates

Do the UC certificate on Exchange, confirm working.
Then export the certificate and import it in to TMG/ISA.

Usual names - common name, autdiscover, netbios and FQDN of the Exchange server. The ISA/TMG server does not have to be in the certificate.

    Job done.
