  • Move Exchange server 2007 mailboxes to SAN

Hi to all, i hope someone can help me out with my current dilemma or problem. i am currently using an exchange 2007 server which is working fine, however my LCR has hit 0 bytes and I am having backup problems ever since.

I am currently in the process of implementing a SAN and move the mailboxes to the SAN and configure the server itself to act as an LCR.

Would this be a wise choice? If not are there any suggestions someone can give me and if this is a good choice are there any steps someone may guide me to in order to have a smooth transition?
    Thanks for your help.

Re: Move Exchange server 2007 mailboxes to SAN

You should speak to your SAN vendor about Exchange configuration. Then once it is configured and the storage presented to the server you can either move the entire database or use move mailbox to move the content to that location.

Hi Simon thank you for your help, we are actually going to do a server swing, instead of implementing a SAN, so that we can also upgrade our exchange server to 2010.
