  • Disable reply to all on group emails

Windows 2003 Standard Servers - 12, two are DC's, one Exch 2007 Standard.

I have many distrobution groups, which all work just fine. But...I want to know if I can set a rule or a policy - that when a user creates a new e-mail to the distro group that the end users can't reply to ALL.

So tired of reply to all instead of reply to the originator, users just keep hitting reply all and the distro group just keeps sending, reply after reply...so annoying. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Re: Exch 2k7 - distribution group?

    Not possible with Exchange.
This is not actually a technical problem but a behavioural problem. There are seldom technical solutions to behavioural problems. Some have said that you can disable Reply to All through Outlook, but that would apply to all messages, not just the group. It also cannot be disabled through OWA.

Humiliate a user for using Reply to All is often the only way.

Threaten that the next person to use "Reply to All" will have their internet browsing habits posted on the intranet.
