  • Public Folders Permissions

    Hi

I have a client on SBS 2008 Premium. Thus far they have not had a use for Public Folders but now they want to use it for shared contacts.

How so I assign permissions to all users to be able to create items in public folders? I have looked on Google and all I can find is how to give a specific folder rights, not from root.

    Thanks

    Hong

    Re: Public Folders Permissions

As far as I know it need to be done from Exchange Management Shell or from the Outlook client.

Check out this link and check out the management tasks section for examples.

      Re: Public Folders Permissions

      I sorted it.

In the end I used the Exchange Public Folders Management Console to create a folder, then used the cmdlet Add-PublicFoldersClientPermission to set perms on that (i was trying to set perms on root before)

      Thanks
