  • Killed SSL on Ex2k7 SP2

    I have been trying to get a self signed SSL sorted out on our exchange system issued by our own CA server, I know its not recommended etc.

    But somehow I have managed to completly cock up the SSL to the extent if I go to https://mailcas01/exchange I get Page Can not be dispayed in IE.

    If I run dir cert:\LocalMachine\My | fl I get the following info

    Code:
    Subject      : CN=MAILCAS01
    Issuer       : CN=MAILCAS01
    Thumbprint   : C4D4F120991EAE4D662B63FE30D3CFF228775DA2
    FriendlyName :

    NotAfter     : 23/02/2011 18:26:44
    Extensions   : {System.Security.Cryptography.Oid, System.Security.Cryptography.
                   Oid, System.Security.Cryptography.Oid, System.Security.Cryptogra
                   phy.Oid}

    Subject      : CN=MAILCAS01.domain.co.uk
    Issuer       : CN=MAILCAS01.domain.co.uk

                   Oid, System.Security.Cryptography.Oid, System.Security.Cryptogra
                   phy.Oid}
    I have had a look on Google and can not find how to get it all back to normal, and I know its my own fault but I did not take a snapshot before I went messing with SSL

    So can someone please help me getting SSL to work again

    Many thanks

    Dave

    Ok my panic is over, I have managed to fix it

    https://support.comodo.com/index.php...articleid=1188

    I had to repair my cert store and I could enable the cert in Ex2007
