  • Exchange 2007 with multiple email domains

    Hi,
I am going to migrate a company from one windows 2003 forest to antother windows 2003 forest. I am pretty familiar with the windows portion of this but need some assistance with the Exchange piece. My plan is to keep the namespaces so i am going to migrate B.com forest into a tree in A.com. want to utilize the new exchange 2007 server in A.com but use the email domain that was in B.com. So the question is can i migrate the users, move their mail to the new exchange server, and still utilize the old smtp domain. Remember this is a new tree in A.com. I would appreciate anyones thoughts?

    Thanks Phil

Re: Exchange 2007 with multiple email domains

Exchange doesn't care about the WINDOWS domain.
All it cares about is the domain listed in Accepted Domain, and the corresponding email address policy.
