  • Exchange 2007 and 2010 site resilience

    Hi,
I have an infrastructure running with Exchange 2007 server, includes 2 Edge servers, 2 Hub/CAS servers, and 2 servers as Active and Passive CCR nodes, all infrastructure is placed on a single site. We can implement site resilience in this infrastructure by a placing a DC, Hub/CAS server and Mailbox SCR role on a remote site. I want to know can we implement site resilience using Exchange 2010 in this Exchange 2007 environment.

If you update your current Exchange 2007 installation to Exchange 2010 sure.

You can't mix versions for the mailbox data.
You will need to either deploy Exchange 2007 at the second site or move to an Exchange 2010 environment. That will also mean the CAS servers will have to be upgraded.

Exchange 2010 doesn't have SCR, LCR or CCR. It has the DAG.
