  • Problem with RAM maybe?

    Hi!

    I have Server 2003 x64 with 6GB RAM in VmWare ESX3.5.
There is Exchange 2007 with 30 mailboxes and 22GB in size.

All Windows and Exchange updates are installed. Exchange is SP2.
All of the sudden I get this errors:

    Code:
    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: Application Popup
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 26
    Date: 5.1.2010
    Time: 6:31:31
    User: N/A
    Computer: EXCH-01
    Description:
Application popup: MsFTEFD.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x1c86a6af" referenced memory at "0x00000026". The memory could not be "read".
This never happened before it just started today... Strange.

    And ideas?
    Thanks!

That is part of the search functionality. Not exactly critical. If it only occured once I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for answer. I know that it probably is not critical at all... But still, it occurs 2-4 times per day and I couldn`t find any info on how to resolve this problem...

Search isn't critical, and it isn't something I have seen. Unlikely to be a problem with the RAM itself, this is an issue with the application not being able to read something. It may well be a corrupt message, something like that.

          I will reset search...
Delete catalogs and try to do it again... Maybe it will help...
