HOW DO I SETUP SCR in exchange 2007 sp1??
I NEED A STEP BY STEP Cause i am very frustrate in getting this working.

I write out my path to my storage name which is acutially "storage group 1"

it fails stating that this storage group does not exist on my server.

    exact error message
Enable-StorageGroupCopy : The operation could not be performed because object '
Storage Group 1' could not be found on domain controller 'mrcdr1.milrose-ny.com
    '.
    At line:1 char:23
    + Enable-StorageGroupCopy <<<<

ALSO DO I HAVE TO CREATE THE STORAGE GROUPS ON MY TARGET SERVER OR THE PROCESS WILL DO THAT FOR ME?

    thanks to all who reply

    Re: SCR in exchange 2007

You might want to check out this link:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../bb676502.aspx.

Regarding your questions, you have to use the complete name of the storage group (servername + storage group) in order to get this command working. You can find it out with:
    get-storagegroup | fl.

Once setting up the SCR copy you don't have to create any storage group or database at the target, only the same physical drives have to be there, i.e. if your stroage group and database path resides at partition E: and L: at the source server there have to be a partition E: and L: at the target.

If you want to enable the copy at the target server in a case of a failiure you have to create a storage group and database then.
