  • From Exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 migration

    Hi

I am planning to do Exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 migration. I my existing Exchange 2003 setup Run on Dell server.
Now I am planning to migrate to Exchange 2007 on a vmware environment. I have latest dell server with storage connected to the servers.
In both the dell servers Esx4.0 is installed.I want to have all roles in different servers and like to cluster my mailbox.
I am not planning to install Edge server as I am using a iron port device.I would like to know how to proceed on migration of exchange 2007

So can some one suggest me the best possible to do this migration.

    Regards

If you are going to use CCR then you will need at least three machines, because you cannot have hub transport and client access roles on the CCR.

You will have to build the Exchange 2007 environment completely, including both servers with the CCR, then you can simply move the mailboxes using the tools in Exchange. It is all documented on Technet.
