  • Routing an Accepted Domain.

    Hi Guys,

I need a bit of help, but I'm not sure that what I'm trying to achieve is even possible.

We provide email hosting via Exchange 2007, with 3 hub servers and then Sonicwall ES running as edge servers.

We have one client, say ClientA, that has their own Sonicwall appliance, out side of ours.

At the moment I have to forward the Outbound email for ClientA through our Sonicwall to theirs and then it is delivered.

What I want to do is send ClientA's email direct from Exchange to their Sonicwall, bypassing ours.

I thought I could do it with a Send Connector, but this isn't possible if the domain is already in your accepted domain list.

Does anyone know how I can achieve this configuration??

    Thanks in advanced
    Dean

    Re: Routing an Accepted Domain.

Exchange doesn't route based on sender, only on destination.
Therefore it is not possible to route email from one specific domain out a different route.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for how long it took me to get back to you.

Is there anything you can think of to do this or is it just a case of trying to solve the problem outside of Exchange?

      Thanks again

If you want to route email based on sender, then you will need to do that outside of Exchange.

          Found this ExSBR.

          Has anyone used it before?
