  • Send on Behalf - exch 2007 outlook 2007

We have recently upgraded to SBS 2008 which comes now with exchange 2007.

I gave permissions to a user to send on behalf of using the EMC in exch 2007 by going to recipient config > mailbox > users mailbox > properties > mail flow settings > delivery options

When the delegate sends an email and chooses his boss in the from box, the email arrives from his boss and does not show

    " <originators name> on behalf of <his boss> "

This looks like he has been given send as permissions rather than send on behalf of.

Any ideas what has happened or how I can set it to show "on behalf of" in the address?

I am fairly new to exch 2007 but worked on 200 and 2003 for many years.

We are using a mix of outlook 2003 and outlook 2007 but gradually migrating to the 2007 version.

This is the first time I have been asked to set this up in this way.

    All help gratefully received.

Can you confirm that the user does not have Send As permission.

EMC --> Recipient config --> Mailbox --> Action pane on right --> Change Send As permission

If so, remove and then test again
