  • Exchange 2010 lab setup

I have been reasearching new processor requirements for installing Exchange 2010. I like to create a LAB to study Exchange 2010 but its not clear which processor I should buy. I have read its only supporting 64 bit processor.

With not experience with 64x processors its unclear which processor I should buy in order to fully test new version of Exchange.
Could anyone recommend me the cheapest 64 bit server / pc setup that I could purchase to install Exchange? Can anyone tell me what components and processor should I buy so I can run Exchange 2010 on a limited LAB budget?

    Thanks

    Re: Exchange 2010 lab setup

Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 only support 64-bit CPUs (although, in Exchange 2007, a 32-bit version was/is available, but not supported for production).

In my opinion, any server that you buy now is only going to be 64-bit, but if you're not sure ask your hardware vendor.
