  • Edge Transport HA, DR & ISP Link resilience

    Dear all,

Really lost in thoughts digging little more about ex2007. Just wanted to know how site resilience works in exchange 2007 in the same AD site.

My question is ---When i have 2 Edge transport severs in place at two different site locations duly configured with 2 MX records pointing to each server. If one of edge server is unreachable i believe my HT is clever enough to route it through the other ET which is alive.

INBOUND-If the link is down at primary location, All the inbound mail traffic will be routed to the secondary site (DNS Round robin)

OUTBOUND- What if my link goes down (ET is alive and reachable) at primary location and wanted route the mail automatically from the secondary location's ET?

    Thanks in advance

Re: Edge Transport HA, DR & ISP Link resilience

As long as both Edge servers are subscribed and the servers can see each other, then both will be used.

If you have been waiting three weeks for an answer, I am surprised that you haven't deployed the solution to see what would happen.

      Simon.
