  • Exchange 2007 and Remote Wipe Options

Hello, this is my first post to Petri! Petri has been an invaluble resource to my daily IT life, and now it's time to get active!

I have a question, and I was hoping that someone may be able to lead me in the right direction or answer it outright. My office has a myriad of mobile devices, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, iPhone, ect. With Exchange 2007, is it possible to execute a remote wipe on a Windows Mobile phone and clear ONLY the ActiveSync email and not perform a master reset on the phone, that way users can keep their contacts intact as well as their personal apps/music/pictures, ect.

    Thanks,

    Shurley

Remove wipe is exactly that - device wipe. That is everything. It is not possible to be selective because of how it does it. The only things that will survive is what is stored on the SIM.
