  • SSL Certificate for Outlook Anywhere

    Dear All

I have two servers running. First one is domain controller with DHCP and DNS server and second one is Exchange Server. They both run Windows Server 2008. Now I can send and recieve emails but I am trying to get Outlook Anywhere working so I can configure it on my iPhone or access throgh outlook client.

I have impression that I will need SSL certificate (third party) to get this working so I have purchased 5 domain SSL certificate from godaddy.

now my network is setup this way:

The Internal domain name is "domain".NET but the emails I want to recieve is [email protected] and [email protected].

So my question is how should I configure the certificates on godaddy account and then import it in exchange 2007?

    any help would be welcome.

    thank you all in advance.

Re: SSL Certificate for Outlook Anywhere

I have used two resources to do this previously:
Sembee's articles on configuring Outlook Anywhere - see links here: http://blog.sembee.co.uk/archive/2008/10/16/87.aspx
The help on the GoDaddy site

With those, you should have no difficulty

        Hi Sarkar,

I am not iPhone friendly but curious to know what do you mean by "but I am trying to get Outlook Anywhere working so I can configure it on my iPhone "?

Do we have such feature on iPhone?

Yes -- 3g iPHone has a connector to Exchange that uses RPC/HTTPS

Re: SSL Certificate for Outlook Anywhere

            Some terminology mix up here.

Outlook Anywhere/RPC over HTTPS has nothing to do with the iPhone. Outlook Anywhere is to allow Outlook to connect to Exchange oddly enough.

The iPhone uses Exchange ActiveSync to connect.
