    Re: Exchange 2007 and Certificate

if you are using the same URL for both owa and activesync then remote.domain.com in your certficate will work for both.

DKS thank for answering, well you know that one adress is https://remote.domain.com/owa and the other https://remote.domain.com/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync , so one certificate should do the trick ?

        Re: Exchange 2007 and Certificate

SSL certificates are applied at the web site level. OWA and Activesync are virtual directories of the Default Web Site so yes, one certificate is all you need.

            Re: Exchange 2007 and Certificate

For everything to work correctly on Exchange 2007 you need a certificate that has multiple names in it. While you can do it with a single name, your EXTERNAL DNS provider must support SRV records, many do not.

I have discussed what needs to be done in something length on my blog here:

Sembee, seems that the ISp that rent's me the housing does not support SRv DNS Records, so is there any other chance of getting this to work ?

                regards

                  Re: Exchange 2007 and Certificate

If you cannot support SRV records then you will have to use a SAN/UC certificate as per my posting above. The existing certificate is no use to you.
