  • MSIS keeps stopping

We keep getting this event pop up, happens about once a day:

    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: MSExchangeIS Mailbox Store
    Event Category: Storage Limits
    Event ID: 1216
    Date: 4/28/2009
    Time: 4:56:47 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: MC-EXCH01
    Description:
The Exchange store 'First Storage Group\Mailbox Database' is limited to 250 GB. The current physical size of this database (the .edb file) is 53 GB. If the physical size of this database minus its logical free space exceeds the limit of 250 GB, the database will be dismounted on a regular basis.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

    Any ideas?

Are you running Exchange Standard or Enterprise?
Does this happen after your Exchange database maintenance?

It should be Standard since it's logging 1216 events. Enterprise logs event id:1217

It's just an informational message, something to keep an eye on.

Some people on the TechNet asked the same question here...
