  • Exchange 2007 Rediness Check

    Hello All
I have just run my rediness check for Exchange 2007 running on Server 2008 and I get some info i want to just check out with you all.
I have some warning that i want to run past you.

The first is that Under the SITE heading i am being told domain controller is running windows server 'longhorn' which i understand that i am but its giving me a warning.

    Next item is:
The check is showing me 3 domain controllers for my site but i only have 2 as i demoted one recently but it appears to be finding it in the rediness check.

How can i remove the other DC that does not exist & shoudl i be concerned that the rediness check is letting me know about 'longhorn'

My exchange setup was a while ago and PRE server 2008
    Thanks

    Re: Exchange 2007 Rediness Check

Check in AD for the server name, check in DNS to see if it is still listed and check sites/services. My guess would be DNS though.

You say your Exchange was pre-2008 so I assume it is 2003 ?
Are you using the SP1 CD/DL?
    cheers

      Re: Exchange 2007 Rediness Check

Sorry i meant my Server training was Pre Server 2008
I found the fix to this was to update the Rediness check software to the latest using the check for updates option and now there are no errors about windows Longhorn.

      Thanks
