  • Exchange 2007 SCR - want additonal store for incoming email

    Hello,

I have Exchange 2007 SCR set up in the typcial fashion. 2 Sites, and the SCR link between them.

What I want to do is have an MX record that sends the mail to anotother store on the SCR target machine. Basically instally mydomain.com on the SCR source (which it already is) and have it on the SCR target, so if the first goes offline, the mail is going into the store on the SCR target.

I thinK i just need to add my domain on the SCR target, but I am not sure how to do that? It is confusing because i see both servers listed, and the domain is already there from the first site.

    Thanks!

    You can't do that.
If the other server also has the Hub Transport role then you can point your MX records to that machine, but all it will do is queue the email for delivery to the real server when it comes back online.

    Simon.
