  • Read Receipt Time Zone

    Hello,
we have Exchange 2007 and outlook 2003
the server is located at the main office in time zone: (GMT-03:00) Brasilia.
we have several remote offices with a different time zone (i.e. London time).

Anyone (clients) requesting a Read Receipt from our remote offices employees, will receive a response with a Brasilia time stamp:
"Your message was read on Wednesday, February 04, 2009 12:42:00 AM (GMT-03:00) Brasilia"
how can i remove the time zone from the massage, or show a global time zone without effecting the local office users.
i guess changing the time zone on the EX server will change all meetings / calendar, and other issues?
    thanks for any advice

    Re: Read Receipt Time Zone

As far as I am aware you cannot change the settings of the receipt and it will use the time zone of the server. If you want a differnet time zone to appear then you will need to change the server settings. I know of many sites that serve different regions set theirs to UK time (GMT).

      Re: Read Receipt Time Zone

      Just came across the KB:

      http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940259/en-us
You receive a read receipt that contains incorrect time information from Exchange 2007

      Cheers
