  • Smtp problem with email without domain

    Hello, i have a little problem with my smtp server on exhcange2007, in my factory i have an application that use smtp to send email but this application not use email sender in this format [email protected] but use test.
    Unfotunately when i test smtp using test without @pippo.com the server response 501 5.1.7 Invalid address.
    Where i configure my HUB to accept email without @pippo.com
    Can you have a solution for me.
    Please help me

    If I remember the RFC correctly, email addresses MUST be in the format [email protected]
    So this is not something you can over-ride

    Why can't you configure your application to send to a proper email address -- if it talks SMTP it must do this somewhere!
    (Just a thought - do you configure the domain separately from the name in the application?)
