  • Exchange 2007 deployment

I have an existing Exchange Enterprise 2000 running on a Windows 2000 active/passive cluster. I have an Exchange standard 2000 running on Windows 2000 as my front end server. I am getting ready to add an Exchange Enterprise 2007 running on Windows 2003 active/passive cluster and an Exchange 2007 hub running on Windows 2003 to my existing Exchange environment. Since 2007 will build a routing group connector, should I install the hub first to build the connector or should I build the mailbox cluster first?

I am pretty sure that none of the above is correct. The first thing you are going to have to do is build a CAS and remove your frontend server.
Then you can build the Hub. Mailbox will not install while you have an Exchange 2000 frontend server in place.
