  • Exchange 2007 Relaying - Internal Devices

    Hello Everyone!
First of all, I would like to say thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. My situation is as follows:

We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 with Rollup 5 in a CCR environment. We have a smart host that we route our mail through (iron mail spam filtering box). We have several devices that need to be able to relay through our Exchange server and send messages to external recipients. For example, we need to let our network scanners e-mail a customer a scanned document.

I have configured the send connector to use an address space of * and to "Route mail through the following smart hosts:"

Relaying works from these devices to internal recipients just not external. We receive a bounce back message from Exchange saying we are not authorized to relay. What have I setup wrong?

Please let me know if any further information is required.

    Do this

Follow the steps mentioned for E2K7 and then go with Option 2 instead of option 1

    That shud work for you
