  • Exchange 2007 Mails getting bounced when sent to more than 3 users

    Hi,

    We are using Exhcange 2007.
Since last 2-3 days we are facing the problem of clients mails getting bounced if mails are sent to more than 3 users. This happens only when someone sends the mail from outside of our domain.
We haven't changed any config recently.

    Urgent help will be appreciated.

Would be handy to see the info in the bounce and message tracking.
    cheers

Things like that do not happen on their own. So something has been changed somewhere.
However based on the information that you have supplied, further diagnosis is impossible.

You haven't indicated what the NDR says.
You haven't said what AV or antispam you are using
You haven't said what route your email takes, whether it comes in directly or through another host or service.

You need to provide a lot more information, otherwise you will get little help.

      Simon.

        Dear All,

Sorry for delay in reply as we were not getting it from our client who is sending this emails and emails are getting bounced back.

        <email id> am 05.02.2009 16:06
You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.
        <senders domain name #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 Requested action not taken: message refused>

We are using symantec and only inbuild spam protection of exhcnage 2007 is enbale.
Message is directly coming to our smarthost which is exchange 2007 server itself.

I would just repeat the problem.
If the message is sent to 3 users(from our doamin) it reaches fine. If it's sent to 4 or more users it bounces back.
