  • Outlook Anywhere RPC troubles

    Hi,

I've been tearing my hair out for a week trying to get outlook anywhere to work with a single exchange 07 server & ISA 06 infront of it.

I have managed to get it work mostly, whats not working is the https connections to the directory via rpc over https. The client is Outlook 2007.

/rpcdiag shows 'Mail & Public Folders' connecting ok via https, directory is constantly trying to connect.

What I have noticed is that it's listing the internal name of the DC for the domain in the rpcdiag window, I would of thought it should be listing the exchange server hostname as thats where the rpc-proxy is running on.

I've double checked the ports in the registry, DNS is working fine, OWA works, ActiveSync works, using a 3rd party SAN-SSL certificate from DigiCert, outlook 2007 even opens and you can send & recieve email, just not open the global address book.

IIS has only intergrated authentication enabled, tried it with basic & intergrated and no difference, disabled outlook-anywhere on the exchange server, removed the RPC-Proxy package, rebooted it, re-installed and re-enabled outlook anywhere, still no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

    -Dan
