  • Can't open mailbox folders within Terminal Services Session using Exchange 2007 RPC c

Hi all. Having fits with this one. I've contact MS support but they won't help much as i'm in a VMWare environment. My problem is:

I have a Hosted Exchange environment (non HMC). Works great, and have many users connecting via Outlook Anywhere with no issues. Where i have a problem is within a TS (2003 or 2008, tried both) session I get past the initial connection but receive the error "cannot open your default email folders". In rpcdiag it gets through the directory steps ok, but seems to hang then fail on the mailbox connection. If i go directly to the TS console and login I can open Outlook and connect with no problem. I've given the test user local admin rights as well. What could be the difference in a TS Session that would not allow access to the mailbox?

    Help will be greatly appreciated!

    Eric
