  • Exchange 2007

    Hi Folks

    I've got exchange 2007 on w2k3 x64 ent. ed.
    I have AD 2003 on windows2003 std.

I'd like to know if the support crew can create contacts, new users, enable hiding, move disabled user to the disabled store etc etc [typical ad stuff] via the AD.

I was told that the crew now needs to use command line to do AD stuff.

I dont see the need. Further more we have installed the new exchange management tools to support crew's workstation. Anyone know where to get that?

    Thanks
    Joe

Mail enabled objects are not created through ADUC any longer. You have to use the Exchange Management Console or Exchange Management Shell.
If you want to install the console on its own then download the 32 bit SP1 tools from Microsoft.

Can I install the exchange management tools from the cd to my support staffs workstation?

Or can you provide me a link to the location? I've search google and I cannot find the specifics you had mentioned.

      Thanks
      Joe

Third result when you Google "exchange management console" not what you're after? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

As I wrote above - install the SP1 tools, as any machines with the management tools installed need to be kept at the same level of service pack etc as the original server. That includes rollups.
