  • Can't load offline address book in outlook 2003

    Hi

After I dismount the public folder store in exchange 2003, I get the following error in outlook 2003 when I try to download the address book: "

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x80070005) : 'You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.'

and on next try I get this: "

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x80040115) : 'The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.'

Public folders are replicated to the 2007 server and OAB has been moved. I have also used the 'Move all replicas' option to move public folder content to the e2k7 server. The 'public folder instances' on the 2003 servers are empty. I can't get past this problem, any ideas what is causing the error? Thanks for your answers.

The Outlook clients are still pointing at the old server for some reason.
Have you followed the Microsoft guide on removing "legacy" servers ?
