  • Installation EX 2007

    Hello,

Please I have problem to install Exchange 2007 in our organization.
Setup fail before Prepare Schema. There is an error message:

Exchage 2007 cannot be used with version of the operating system running on this ocmputer.

I try to install it on Windows server 2008 Standart 64-bit SP1.

My domain two controlers are Windows 2008 standart 32 bit. (was Windows 2003 R2 32 Bit. I use DC promo for DC uninstall, and reinstall first server to windows 2008 and make it as DC. And aftrer same operation with second DC.)

May be that I have some problem with DNS system, because another fail message is that setup cannot find global catalog. Is there some chance to recreate new corect DNS records? Every other servicews are working correctly. Only install EX 2007 has problem

    Please help me.

    Thanks
    Thanks

    Re: Installation EX 2007

You need the Exchange SP1 media not the RTM version to install.
Make sure you have AD working correctly before you try though. Have you confirmed you have a global catalog setup correctly?
    cheers

      Re: Installation EX 2007

Download Exchange 2007 SP1 from Microsoft. It is the complete product, so you can install from it. While you are there, download Rollup 4 as well, as you will need to install that afterwards as well.

However as already guessed, I think the problem is with the version of the media you are using.
