  • Moving Exchange 2003 to new hardware with Exchange 2007

    HI All, newbie here!
current server is Windows 2003 DC with Exchange 2003 std - prod. env't 32bit

New additional server - will be Windows 2008 member server I am assuming, and I'd like to move the Exchange 2003 get rid of it, and Install Exchange 2007 on this 2008 Server which is also x64

So far, I have just installed Win2008 Server Std... have not done anything else yet.

no idea where to start... should I patch it all up first, .... join to domain,.....?

if someone can please provide me with some help, that would be great

    Thanks,

Yes, patch the server and join it to the domain first
Then plan your Exchange install -- there are some very big differences between 2003 and 2007, so dont just dive in!
