  • Group Email not going through

I have a strange situation and need a little help.

Exchange 2007 running on Server 2008

2 accepted domains (domainA and domainB)
(two companys, same owner, both use same GAL)

Users can send mail to and from individual users in either domain without any problem, but when a user try's to send a group email created in his outlook client (which contains both internal and external users) the external recipients receive the mail but the internal users on the other domain do not.

ex: GroupB has email addresses of [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected]

when [email protected] sends the mail everyone gets it except the domainA users.

    What does message tracking say?
    Any NDRs ?

Is this group created using SMTP addresses or selection from the GAL?

Sorry, I got pulled off onto another project.

There were no NDR's it just did not go through, the group was created from the GAL

I think we solved it by changing the relay options for the secondary domain to Internal Relay Domain. (At least we have not heard back from the user since that change was made) it was originally set to be an authoritative domain.
