  • new-owavirtualdirectory remotely?

I have an issue(I think caused by an update) where the EMC does not run correctly, specifically with the above command. I have the management tools installed on anotehr box, and am trying to run the above command against the exchange server. Is this possible and if so, how do I specifiy the name of my exchange server

also, is it possible to reinstall just the management tools on the exchange server it self?

Why don't you just run the commands through the Shell on the machine itself?
The management console is just a GUI for PowerShell.

i didnt mean the emc i meant the shell sorry. The commands dont run correctly on the box itself. I reallty would like to either reinstall JUST the management tools on the exchange server, and be able to recreate the OWA directory remotely using the shell.

Recreating the folder structure remotely isn't possible. There is nothing in the command set to specify the server. Any tools that allow it to be run remotely are actually using the local copy.

If you can reinstall the management tools then that will only be possible through add/remove programs, Exchange 2007. It might be possible to remove and then reinstall the management tools, but I haven't tried it.
