• Exchange 2007 OWA blank screen owa&reason=0

I have just installed an Exchange 2007 with SP1 into an exisitng Exchange 2003 environment. Exchange 2007 is installed on windows 2008 x64 platform.

Everthing seems to be working OK, except OWA. I have moved some mail boxes to new exchange 2007 server, outlook connection is fine.

However when tried to logon on to OWA I get a blank screen (not even the logon screen) after clicking on security warning in IE.
The URL says https://xxx.yyy.local/owa/auth/logon...l/owa&reason=0

To resolve this I have tried:

1. Uninstalled and reinstall CAS role
2. Removed the web.config file in the OWA folder after unistalling CAS role and reinstall CAS role
3. Installed Roll up package 2 for Exchange 2007 SP1
4. Tried instruction on

http://forums.msexchange.org/m_18004...htm#1800442108

Nothing seems to be working. I am not sure if its an issue with permission in IIS. Not much familier with IIS7 in Windows 2008. Or could be an issue with logon.apsx under \ClientAccess\Owa\auth folder

Will appreciate any help.

Where are you testing it from?
Try adding the domain into the trusted sites on your test machine.

Thanks for quick reply.

sorry, I forgot to mention it. Yes, I have tried that one too. Added the OWA URL in the trusted site. Still did not work.

I even tried seup /mode:reinstall

Nothing successful so far.

When I looked at "view source" on the blank page, following is the content.

This is testing it from an XP workstation (or similar) or from the 2008 box itself?
cheers

Hi Andy,

I have tested from:

1. The Exchange 2007 server itself, on Windows 2008 x64
2. The DC, which is on windows 2003, x32
3. From a XP workstation, which is not a member of the domain.

Thanks to all I got my owa fixed with the uninstall/reinstall procedure.
I have one question now:
Do I have to reinstall the update rollups now on exchange?
Before the reinstall my exchange was at "rollup 7"

Thanks for any help

Edward

Re: Exchange 2007 OWA blank screen owa&reason=0

Hey guys, I just ran into this issue with the Update 9 Rollup. Rather than uninstall/reinstall IIS/CAS, etc (This seems like a long and arduous solution!)

Open up IIS on the Client Access server and navigate to the Default Website, then click on the 'Exchange' folder listed .... then click on 'Authentication' and then toggle 'Anonymous Authentication' to enabled. This will allow IIS to display the login page fully (not allowing anonymous to load the login page is what the problem was to begin with.)

Hope this helps/saves time for someone out there.
