  • Global Address List Assistance Needed

Recently I've needed to add an additional domain to my domain and Exchange 2007 Server. Everything works great; however, there's one piece I can not figure out. I need to isolate his users, email accounts, distribution lists, etc. from seeing my personal user accounts, email addresses, etc. within the Global Address List. Can someone please advise on how I can go about this? Thanks in advance, and your help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Global Address List Assistance Needed

What you are talking about is address list segregation. It isn't straight forward to do. Microsoft have released a white paper on it.

Strongly advise that you make the changes in a test environment first, before you try making them in the production environment.

Thanks for the info. Is this what every Exchange hosting provider must go through to do what I'm trying to accomplish?

        Pretty much.
Microsoft have hosting solutions to do some of the work for you, and most hosted Exchange providers have their own scripts and processes for doing it. You will find very little on setting up hosted Exchange - the hosted Exchange providers don't tend to share very much.
