  • Accessing Out of Office

    Hi,

We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 and using Outlook Anywhere for users outside our network to access emails using OUtlook 2003 or 2007.

We have an issue accessing Out of Office via Outlook by our External users
and it says the Server cannot be Contacted.

Internally users are able to use the Out of Office as it makes sense they
are internal and they can access the OOF Url eg. server.abc.xyz.com

I am aware that external users can use OWA to access this but not ideal. Our
    OWA address is mail.abc.com/owa

I was thinking if I could have multiple URLS for Out of Office? If so do i have regenenrate our certificates to match the new OOF url names?

    Thanks
    Raman

    Re: Accessing Out of Office

It is very important which users are having this problem.
If it is just Outlook 2007 then your Autodiscover system isn't' working correctly. Autodiscover isn't just setup of Outlook it is used for a whole host of things.

If it is happening with both versions then you should be getting a different error in Outlook 2003.

Its a problem only with Office 2007. SO what do i do with Auto discover. I have tried setting up a DNS entry for autodiscover without luck.

      Any help would be handy.
      Thanks

There is so much more to Autodiscover that a DNS entry.
I would suggest that you start with this blog entry: http://exchange-genie.blogspot.com/2...attribute.html

That will explain how autodiscover works.
